SUMMARY:Screen printing with Screen Filler & Drawing Fluid
DESCRIPTION:In this workshop with Maxine Smith you will learn the basics of screen printing using screen filler and drawing fluid as a painting block out technique\, including effective set up and equipment needed to do this at home. You will explore different brushwork and painting styles to create the background design\, learning about positive and negative space. You’ll get to experiment with printing techniques using a silk screen and squeegee\, learn about pressure\, flooding and technique for fabric and paper applications. A selection of ink colours will be available.\n\nPlease note: You will be using speedball products as the relief in this workshop and not emulsion screens. \n\nWhat to bring\n\n\tClothes you don't mind getting paint on.\n\tAny ideas\, pictures or drawings to use as inspiration for your prints\n\tFabrics\, t-shirts\, tea towels or tote bags.
