You might have heard it at our exhibition opening Friday night, or perhaps on the grapevine – but in any case, we thought our members would like to know what’s going on at the gallery. Director Jonathan McBurnie has been offered a 6-month temporary position as Creative Director – Galleries, Townsville City Council. This is a great opportunity for Jonathan’s professional development, and for Townsville’s galleries which are in some need of leadership. We are advertising to fill Jonathan’s position for 6 months – please check our “Work with us” page for those details if you know someone who could apply, and for the immediate time being, I will be acting as Director until the position is filled, having established relationships with our government partners.
