Plastered: innovative approaches to printing single and multiple objects

Visiting resident artist Kathy Boyle is a New Zealand printmaker who is exploring techniques for printmaking on a curved surface.
This workshop will explore a range of techniques using plaster to create single or multiple objects that can then be carved or further enhanced using a variety of mediums.
It will use the traditional intaglio, relief and collagraph printmaking, chine colle techniques and you discover how this method of printmaking can expand the artist’s repertoire from the two to the three dimensional.
What to Bring:
- Woodcuts, etching plates, collagraphs you have already made, a variety of sizes, no larger than about A4
- Acetate for drypoint, no larger than A4, and a drypoint tool /needle
- Chine colle paper/s
- Binder medium and soft brush to apply
- Smooth shiny packing tape
- Flexible, straight sided ( as straight sided as possible) plastic containers for moulds, eg small take away bottles
- Old woodcut tools
- Scissors
