The works in this exhibition tell stories of surviving in the desert, gathering food and passing down Indigenous women’s knowledge across generations. The artist Shirley Dawson is from the Eastern Aranda people of the Harts Ranges area, Northern Territory. She has been making art and exhibiting since the 1980s, and is now based in Mt Isa.
