06/01/2015Look whats happening at the Gallery!

Umbrella Studio is looking stunning in 2015 with over 17 meters of plasterboard covering the entire west wall and a fresh coat of paint throughout the entire gallery space. The solid wall gives the illusion of spaciousness and a much bigger space. Install will be a much easier process and the artwork on display will be enhanced. Our first exhibition, Diamonds Uncut will launch our beautiful renovated space, made possible by our successful fundraising efforts in 2014.

14/10/2014Start your art collection in Townsville

It is time for Townsville locals to discover the incredible artworks being painted, printed, sculpted and created right under their noses! Townsville based artworks are being acquired by National Institutions (such as the National Gallery of Australia), and knowledgeable collectors around the world as well as individuals in Australia. The upcoming Umbrella Member’s exhibition (7 November – 14 December 2014) is an upcoming opportunity to connect with local talent by purchasing artwork that will enhance your home and office environment. Much of my commercial gallery background in the States was spent assisting professionals to acquire contemporary works for their offices, business and homes. Studies reveal that customers are put at ease, and staff is more productive when quality artwork is on display. Supporting our local creatives by collecting local art is good for Townsville and purchasing emerging and established artists work is a long term investment. Purchasing local art…
