Jo Lankester | Accretion: Mapping the Landscape
An exhibition of contemporary Australian prints by Jo Lankester, employing a range of intaglio and relief techniques to create prints that are an intuitive response to personal experiences in the Australian Landscape. The artist is impressed by the symbiotic relationships of organisms and how they form pleasing compositions made up of intriguing textures, line, and colour combinations. These elements of nature and experience inform her work.
Join us for the exhibition opening 6pm Friday 27 September, and for Jo’s Floortalk (details here) – both at Umbrella’s new home, 408 Flinders St, Townsville (next to Mary Who? Bookshop).
Umbrella’s exhibitions Accretion: Mapping the Landscape, Queensland Glitterati and Surrounded by the Reef are all on display 27 September – 3 November 2019.
