This workshop is held at Studio Dubbeld Classroom, 142 Bundock Street, Belgian Gardens (entrance through back driveway beside igloo).

Inspired by our current exhibition space 2: future recall, this workshop is a partnership with Studio Dubbeld for participants to learn the basic principles and techniques for carving by hand in wood. In this hands on workshop led by Joel Dubbeld you will learn fundamentals such as:

1.    The tool kit
2.    Sharpening
3.    How to hold a carving chisel
4.    Types of cuts
5.    Working with the grain
