Full Body Casting and Sculptural Portrait Drawing Workshop – MOUA

| See below for pricesJoin globally-renowned artist Jason deCaires Taylor as he demonstrates how to do a full body cast when creating a life-sized statue or sculpture. Jason is the lead artist on the Museum of Underwater Art (MOUA) project that will see sculptures installed in three North Queensland water-based locations (The Strand, Magnetic Island, John Brewer Reef and Palm Island). The full body casting process he will undertake during this workshop will form part of the MOUA project.
Alongside this, MOUA and Umbrella Artist in Residence, Tony Fitzsimmons will offer guided instruction on how to do a sculptural portrait drawing. During this workshop, Tony will guide you on how to draw your interpretation of the sculptural body casting process.
Tickets are $20 per person. Numbers are limited to 8 people for the body casting demonstration and a further 8 people for the drawing workshop (16 total). If you wish to register to participate in BOTH elements of the workshop the total ticket price is $20. Please check the box below to register for one or both parts of the workshop.
