A Night Out from the Archives

A Night Out from the Archives is a short video from interdisciplinary artist Aaron Ashley remembering the past decade of the Townsville arts scene. It is a chaotic, ethnographic dive into a series of music, dance, and multi-arts performances that seem surreal in Covid-19 times.

Commissioned through Creative Sparks, this project receives generous support from the Regional Arts Development Fund. RADF is a partnership between the Queensland Government and the Townsville City Council to support local arts and culture in regional Queensland.

Umbrella Studio acknowledges the Traditional Owners and Custodians, the Gurambilbarra Wulgurukaba and Bindal people of the lands and seas where we operate. We pay respects to their elders past, present, and future.
