Vicki Salisbury nominated as a Culture Champion

Culture Champions is a Queensland Government initiative celebrating Queensland’s arts and culture champions in our communities: good people doing great work in the arts and cultural sector that can be an inspiration for others. On Thursday 27 June, three locals received acknowledgment as Cultural Champions from Ian Walker, Minister for Science, Information Technology, Innovation and the Arts.
Mr Walker explained that, “Arts Queensland wants to shine a light on these and other dynamic Queenslanders so they can be an inspiration to others. It’s about giving kudos to our leading and emerging talent, and to our arts sector’s passionate supporters. It’s also about unearthing people who do amazing work in their communities but get little recognition, and engaging in ideas and discussions that celebrate arts for all Queenslanders”.
