Part-time Office Manager with NQCC
10 hours/week, Level 1 Clerks Award ($17.41-$21.70/hr)
North Queensland Conservation Council (NQCC) is the regional conservation council in north Queensland, part of a network of such non-government environmental organisations covering Queensland. NQCC is responsible for the area from Bowen to Ingham and from the Reef to the border with the Northern Territory.
The work of NQCC is to act as a voice for the environment, engaging in advocacy and education on the wide range of issues relevant to the area, and collaborating with local, regional, state and national environmental organisations in order to protect Queensland’s natural environment.
NQCC is seeking a part-time Office Manager to assist the Coordinator with the work of the organisation.
The tasks are many and various and the applicant will need to be exceptionally well organised, reliable, accurate and flexible, with a strong commitment to the work of the organisation and an ability and willingness to take on a wide variety of tasks in a small, busy, not-for-profit office.
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate the following:
Essential: Skills and experience in office management; commitment to the environment and some knowledge of the major environmental issues facing the region; high level skills in the areas of social media (MailChimp, WordPress, Facebook, Twitter), file management, data entry, purchasing and petty cash management, and computer-based design.
Preferable: Knowledge and experience in financial management, event management, grant acquittal and the requirements of incorporated community associations.
Remuneration: The position will be reimbursed under the Level 1 Clerks Award ($17.41 to $21.70 per hour). The position is for 10 hours per week (times negotiable). There will be a three-month probationary period.
