PressNorth Printmakers: Wanderlust

A collaborative project between Umbrella Studio contemporary arts and PressNorth Printmakers, the exhibition PressNorth Printmakers: Wanderlust showcases the exemplary skills and talents of printmakers who are currently living and working in Townsville, North Queensland and beyond. The exhibition will explore a diverse range of themes displaying the variety of styles in the printmaking profession.
PressNorth Printmakers is a not-for-profit artist-run-initiative with members actively exhibiting, teaching, sharing and earning a living from printmaking. Printmaking is widely celebrated within Australia with Townsville being one of the most vibrant and dynamic printmaking communities with artists winning awards in recognition of their skills across many mediums. Umbrella Studio has been part of the history of printmaking in North Queensland since 1986. From its inception it has provided the basis for the development, critique, facilitation and mentoring. This project was also assisted by Flying Arts Alliance.
